    🛒 Ingredients

    • For the Meatballs (makes ~18 small meatballs):

      • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
      • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
      • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
      • 1 large egg
      • 2 cloves garlic, minced or minced garlic
      • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tbsp dried)
      • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
      • 1/2 tsp salt
      • 1/4 tsp black pepper
    • For the Spaghetti and Sauce:

      • 8 oz spaghetti (whole wheat or gluten-free if preferred)
      • 1 tablespoon olive oil
      • 1 small onion, diced
      • 2 cloves garlic, minced or  minced garlic
      • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
      • 1 tsp dried basil
      • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
      • Salt and pepper to taste
    • Optional:

      • Fresh basil or Parmesan for topping

    👩🏻‍🍳 Instructions

    • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

    • Make the meatballs:

      • In a large bowl, mix together ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on the baking sheet.
    • Bake meatballs for 18–20 minutes, or until browned and cooked through (internal temp should reach 160°F for beef or 165°F for turkey).

    • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

    • Make the sauce:

      • While meatballs bake, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic for 2–3 minutes until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    • Combine & serve:

      • Add baked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve over cooked spaghetti and garnish with fresh basil or extra Parmesan if desired.

    💡 Tips & Variations

    • Swap spaghetti for zucchini noodles or chickpea pasta for a lower-carb or gluten-free option.
    • Double the meatball recipe and freeze extras for future meals.
    • Use marinara or store-bought sauce to save time on busy weeknights.
